The best of the series - Simply put, this is the best of Meyer s Twilight Series. I really like the first two books, but I found Eclipse and Breaking Dawn showed characters more in depth. Many criticize Meyer s in other reviews written here, saying she is a prude and old-fashioned based on the Edward s wish to be married, etc., but they fail to realize, Edward Cullen s character is old fashion because of the era in which he was born. The book is captivating and for those who felt the first and second books storylines dragged a little near the middle, stick it out to the end and finish this series. I highly recommend this book.

What a Shame... - I hadn t picked up the series until just before the movie came out, so I d heard about the incredibly polarized reviews for this book. The whole You either love it or hate it. Well, I really disliked it. So, they re married. Fine. She s pregnant. Fine, if a bit too soon in the plot for my tastes. And I was actually hoping she would pull through the birth and stay human, thus making it easier to love her, character flaws and all. However, once Bella becomes a vampire, she s impossible to relate to. She can do no wrong, she s the perfect weapon, etc, etc. There s a name for this perfection, and it s called Mary Sue. How can anyone feel a connection to a character like that? I often felt as though I was reading fanfiction. The whole plot with Jacob after the baby is born is what ultimately put me off of Breaking Dawn. Wow, he gets what he wants, along with everyone else. Yet, the rest of the books are an angst-ridden journey in the life of a teenage girl in love. No one has to suffer by the end of *this* book, which would work if that s what happened on a regular basis in the Twilight saga.Overall, I m extremely disappointed with the way Meyer ended the saga. I think she was in such a hurry that the plot ended up suffering, along with many of her fans.

An ending, but not a good one. - I just finished reading the whole series in a week, and while I loved the first three books, I am disappointed with the fourth one. I think perhaps if the third book had ended with the wedding, that would have been a better end to the series. The whole pregnancy thing is just silly. Part of the beauty about Bella having to make a choice was seeing how the characters deal with the things that they have to give up. Then, all of a sudden, vampires can have children with humans. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Then Jacob imprints on Renesme. Dumb, dumb, dumb. This book just seems to be about making everybody happy and giving them what they want. Its about as deep as a Harlequin romance. Perhaps it also reflects the authors religious beliefs regarding the eternal family. The charm of Bella s humanity, how easy it is to identify with her is lost in this book. Disappointing.

VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING! my reason: EDWARD!or rather, LACK OF EDWARD! - I am Very Much disappointed with this book..it was tooo much of a sweet and smooth ending..yes v wanted happy ending but with sum intense drama...and with sum intense edward scenes..event hough there was edward in the book in a lot many scenes it wasn t the edward..the powerful the energetic the dominant vampirish edward v knew..he was reduced to nothign but a tortured husband with his head bent with guilt and regret in front of his wife..thats all that he was...and that is not wht edward is..he is a dominant character when he is in the scene his presense is felt..bella...ok i hav no comments abt her how could she sidetrack edward like this goignt o rose? our edward is not SO heartless she luvs him she knew he wont ever do anything she doesn t want..she shud ve talked to him let him take decision for their life rather than hiding behind rosalie...rrok and finally..even though bella edward havign a baby before bella s changed to vampire was a very very sweet ending however i dont think it was handled too well the story s abt edward bella thats wht we wanted to see in the whole story yet the story continuously revolved around bella s obsession with the baby.. bella s mind continously revolved around the baby..and the baby..ok i luv babies...andi am NOT sayign she shudnt hav shown the love for the baby yes she shudve....but...all there was was her and her baby...edward was justthere to...i dunno..just there to sit by her watch her tearfully..she took all decisions herself she kept rosalie with her for everything hwo cud she do this to edward she luvs the baby BECUZ it s edwards baby then y not give him sum right in such a important phase ???? yes edward was goign to kill the baby but that was his defensive reflexive response to save bella...she convinced himt o change her she cudnt convince himt o keep the baby? he luvd the baby didnt he it was HIS baby for God s sake..ofcourse eventually he wud ve agreed..& seriously this baby...well i can just say i wasnt given that much scenes to prepare ourselves to love this baby as much as i luv edward.. the baby (I AM VERY SORRY TO SAY AND NO OFFENSE TO ANY BABY FANS) was more liek a monster!!..with all the torture bella went thru with the baby with all the torture edward went thru helplessly watchign bella tortured was not a gud way of making us bond with their baby..yes the baby dar wasnt at fault..there cudve been sum other way..well i guess if edward was there by her side helping her rather than rosalie if they both were sitting together plannign names for THEIR baby (oh and i wanted EDWARD TO NAME THE BABY! OR WELL EDWARD BELLA TOGETHER!) if v wudve seen happy scenes like these instead of those intensely depressive ones prebirth of the baby then i wudve been happy for the baby inspite of the pain it unintentionally caused bella..... yet i did not get any time to actually luv the baby cuz the whole time i was crying and cringing to see edward so helpless EDWARD IS PERFECT HE CAN NOT BE HELPLESS!! he CAN NOT ASK JACOB BLACK TO KILL HIM!! noo thats not our edward..sorry guys im a CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY EDWARD fans which is y his presence his character i just cant see him so much sidelined to merely a HELPLESS HUSBAND who bella wants just to sleeep around with! honestly u guys no matter how much u liked the book u gotta agree with me here ppl all she did with him was sleep with him..she did not give him any right to name the kid to decide wht to do with the kid how everythign wud go NUTHING! i think the whoel let down for me was just how much importancce she was giving to the baby OVER EDWARD...she was hdiing behind rosalie..this act of hers made edward luk liek a crazy a dangerous MONSTER..yes he is dangerous but onyl when he has to be this was bella v were talking abt..yes he was talking abt drugging her and then aborting but hey did she give it a shot? did v read how she give it a shock? all she did was run over to rose...she SHUD HAV TALKED TO HIM! the edward in breaking dawn was NOT THE EDWARD V LUVED! i say it again and again becuz its becuz of edward i LUV twilight..:(:(

Excellent ending to an addictive series - I was very pleased with how this whole series ended. If you are going to read Twilight you need to continue through to the end of the series and Breaking Dawn gave me exactly what I wanted. An easy and entertaining read for sure!!
